Unfortunately, this 'state of denial' and accrediting everything to underground agencies is as much a part of our collective national psyche now as the Two-Nation theory.
Someone quoted Noam Chomsky in this thread. Chomsky also said that the only way to end terrorism is be stopping to engage in it. As long as our security-establishment nexus believes that it can use militants to counter/pressurize India and Afghanistan, we will have this terrorism. The day they change their thinking, terrorism in Pakistan will go down to the negligible level that it was at before the mid-1970s.
