Salam to everyone.

I have started preparing for CSS-2014. I am a Telecommunication Engineer from Sir Syed University (SSUET) Karachi. I have started preparing for compulsory subjects and will tend towards optional after sometime.

My efficiency decreases while studying in group so I always prefer to study alone. But discussions are always beneficial and this forum gives a good platform. Right now I have taken my optional as :

1. Political Science (200)
2. Indo-Pak History (200)
3. Sociology (100)
4. IR (100)

But I am thinking to drop Pol.Sci and take Journalism + something else. But after reading many posts here I have found Geography to be a marks scoring subject.

What you friends suggest KIPS courses for CSS prep. Are they good enough ?

Kind Regards,

I am also opting physics though I'm not sure about applied mathematics, the combination is lethal, or so everybody says.
What is your educational background?

I will attempt for CE 2014.. I have less time to study in a day, with group study we can have fruitful results. I don't know much about Public Administration and Journalism but I want to know more about PA and Jour. Please help.

Compulsory Subjects are still tough. Please share your pattern of study.
